Now, Luke is Lord Ripton, but he has been unable to obtain an annullment. Which leaves him no choice but to collect a wife he doesn’t want. For eight years Isabella has waited like a princesss locked in a tower, dreaming of her handsome, dark-eyed prince. Her dreams are shattered when Luke reveals himself not as a prince, but an autocratic soldier, expecting her unquestioning obedience, which is something Isabella’s firecely independent nature will not tolerate.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The couple, married long before, meet again years later and begin married life, starting in a country the husband never wanted to return to. He suffers from nightmares of the war in Spain, making the trip difficult. Needless to say, varied adventures and dangers are encountered, but the ending is a happy one, good for them both.

This book is a wonderful story with deplorable grammar! Really I should give it 3 stars but it is such a good stor - with adventure, suspense, romance and once into it you can't put it down - that Im giving it 4. The editors ought to have caught the grammatical errors, but surely this author knows better, so I"m wondering if they were planted for the modern reader. And that would be a shame.

I enjoyed this book so much! I loved the main characters. I feel the author built on them and made me love them as well. I did not want the story to end. It was easy reading that brought a smile to my face! This is the first time I’ve read Anne Gracie! I look forward to reading many more of her books!!

I knew this book was going to be wonderful! This is the second Anne Gracie book I have read and it's just as wonderful as the first one. I'm going to find more and I'm sure they are going to be wonderful, too.

Enjoyable fifth book in the Devil Riders series. Lots of action and adventure with a couple of twists kept me turning the pages of this novel. I liked the characters and their relationship felt believable. Hope there is more to come from this entertaining series.
